NAIROBI, Kenya -Priests need many prayers from the faithful for their success in the pastoral ministry, says Cardinal John Njue.
The Cardinal, who was officially closing the Year for Priests, said Religious life has never been easy, 'hence those who have accepted to serve in it, especially priests, should make every effort to make it workable.' He urged the faithful to support the clergy in all aspects. 'Their pastoral success will partly depend on how much the faithful will support them morally, physically and spiritually.'
In 2009, through the SPA, Catholics in England and Wales contributed £213,134 to the training of priests in Kenya.
