Archbishop John Hung personally accompanies two young men entering the Seminary

TAI PEI, Taiwan – For Archbishop John Hung, Archbishop of Taipei, this past 1 September was the most beautiful and joyous day of his episcopate. On that day, he accompanied two young men of the archdiocese who responded to the call of the Lord, to the Regional Major Seminary for the new school year. He also made an appointment with the two for seven years from now, at the end of their formation, to be the one to ordain them priests. According to the Archbishop, 'caring for diocesan priests, along with the formation of vocations, is the most important task. Every vocation is chosen by the Lord and supported by the family.' Thus, Archbishop Hung thanked the families of the new seminarians.
This year, the new students of the Regional Major Seminary in Taiwan for the first time in many years number more than 10, reaching a total of 12, including 9 from the island and three from Malaysia. According to the division of the diocese, 2 are from the Archdiocese of Tai Pei, and 2 from the Diocese of Hualien, 2 from the congregation of the Camillians, 3 Malaysia, 1 from each of the Dioceses of Hsinchu, Taichung, and Chiayi.
