| PMU Membership |
Unlike the other three Pontifical Mission Societies, the PMU does not collect or distribute funds. In many ways, the PMU is the ‘soul’ of the other three mission societies. Its primary purpose is the missionary animation of the clergy, Religious and lay people of the Church through which it encourages them to foster a mission spirit in their own contexts.
In England and Wales the PMU produces a quarterly theological review of mission, Mission Outlook which aims to encourage the interest of priests, religious and laity in the missionary work of the Church and in developments in the younger churches.
