Catechetical radio programme marks 500th episode on World Mission Sunday

TAI PEI, Taiwan – It is considered the symbol of evangelization through mass media in Taiwan: Catholic catechetical radio programme titled 'Life is Beautiful,' which celebrated its 500th episode on World Mission Sunday. According to reports from the Catholic Weekly of the Archdiocese of Tai Pei, the first episode of this radio programme of catechesis was broadcast on 1 April, 2001, and on 24 October, 2010 it aired episode number 500. 'We will continue for another 500 episodes or even more,', Archbishop Peter Liu of Kao Hsiung told the volunteers who work on the programme, 'as evangelization through the mass media is an instrument that we should hold in utmost consideration.' Those working in the media have seen this significant anniversary as an opportunity to thank the Lord, 'because if we did not have the Lord's blessing, everything would be impossible for us.'
