18 catechumens received into the Church on World Mission Sunday

TAI YUAN, China – 18 adult catechumens of the parish of Nan She, received the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist on World Mission Sunday, 18 October. The solemn celebration was also attended by a large group of non-Christians in addition to the crowd of Catholics present. This is now a tradition in the parish, which on every solemnity or feast invites even non-Christians to share the joy of the Catholics in this event. Since 2003, there have been over 200 baptisms in the parish, most of them adults. In 2009 alone there have been 85.
